For Website Users
I am a website designer. Every day, all day, I live as much online as I do in my south Anchorage home. With that kind of experience, it would be tempting to expect ALL my website visitors to be as internet-savvy as I like to think I am.The reality is, that as a web designer, I HAVE to remember who the end user is. Sometimes it's an IT professional and the site can be sophisticated and slick. More often than not, the end user is a real person with a real life and a real job. You shouldn't have to be an expert to follow a website through to your goal.
If you only have an hour or so a day to surf the web, it is MY job to give you as much information as you want in as short amount of time as possible.
- Navigation has to be logical and easy
- Ordering has to be simple and honest about what you are getting and spending
- Contact information needs to be one of the first things you see on a website.
- Websites need to be able to grow as your need for more information becomes obvious.
That's my goal in creating websites. On THIS website, I'm going to share my experience - not just as a web designer, but as a web user, to enhance your internet experiences. Let me know the questions that have been bugging you and I'll try to answer them here.
'ta for now. ~JoMarie
